Beautiful day use picnic park overlooking the dam.
25 car capacity. Closed last Sunday in September
through the last Saturday in March.
Park closes at 10:00pm from April 2nd through September 26th. |

The restroom facilities at this park are easily accessable for a quick stop by car. It is also a starting point for several trails around the dam and an excellent parking area that does not require a fee. |

The Lower Overlook park has a number of picnic areas with picnic tables and grills. On hot summer days it offers an oasis of shade with excellent views of Lake Lanier's dam. This park is easily accessable by wheelchair. |

A short walk around this park provides many rest areas with breathtaking views of the lakeside. You can view boats traveling across the lake at some distance. |

The view also allows you to see several of the islands that Lake Lanier is famous for in the distance. On sunny days the sky seems to blend into the water of the lake. |
