One Year's Difference

It is amazing to see the difference one year has made at Lake Lanier. The picture above shows a land bridge that existed last summer at Keith's Bridge Park. The 2009 drought created a land bridge between the park and a nearby island. This year, the area is now back up to normal water levels and the island exists once more. It is still possible to wade out to the island on foot so you will get wet. The changes are dramatic and beautiful all along the shoreline of Lake Lanier today!
